Actividades en Havana

We have learned from experience that cultural activities have an extremely positive influence on students’ intellectual involvement in the acquisition of a foreign language. It is for this reason that we recommend taking part in everything the city has to offer:

• Morro - Cabaña Historical Military Park: This fortress, together with Morro Castle, is the most extensive museum in the country.

• Callejón de Hamel: This project highlights the prevalence of African influences on Cuban culture.

• China Town (Barrio Chino): Havana has an active Chinese community and a number of Chinese restaurants. The food in Chinatown is excellent and offers a great value for your money.

• Valle de Viñales: This distinct valley is known for its unique topography and home to many endemic species. Viñales is a major tourist destination offering hiking and rock-climbing.

• Trinidad: Founded in 1514, Trinidad is one of the best preserved cities in the Carribbean from the time when the sugar trade was the main industry. It was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988.

There are plenty of excursions to choose from once in Havana which are not included in the course fees.
