We have learned from experience that cultural activities have an extremely positive influence on students’ intellectual involvement in the acquisition of a foreign language. It is for this reason that we recommend taking part in everything that the city has to offer.

1/2 Day Trips:

• Jesús María and Colonia Caroya: Be dazzled by the Old Jesuit estancia (ranch) and the Casa Caroya designated as World Heritage Sites.

• Villa Carlos Paz: Located in the most important tourist area in the province known as Punilla, visit The Calera, the Dam, Electrical Usina, Lake San Roque, and the residential neighbourhoods of the city.

• Alta Gracia: With a rich historical heritage, there are many things to see: Tajamar, the artifical lake constructed by the Jesuits, the House of Culture, Viceroy Liners Musuem, and the house where Che Guevara used to live.

1 Day Trips:

• Valle de Punilla: Constitutes one of the greatest tourist places of Córdoba province, where you will find attractive sightseeing, lakes and beautiful valleys. A place with many great landscapes.

• Valle de Traslasierra: Offers an extraordinary environment with a mild climate, pure air, clear blue skies, and the co-existence of large natural vegetation and cultivation areas. All this at the bottom of the impressive “Cerro Champaquí”, the highest peak in the province.

Weekend Trips:

• The North: Traditional rural landscape mingles with gentle undulations colored by red sandstones, streams and the deep green of carob trees, white “quebrachos” and palm groves.

• Mar Chiquita: Main attractions are the diversity of environments which promote a great number and variety of birds, especially the pink flamingo. This site has been proclaimed a Provincial Natural Reserve and Hemispheric Site of the Organization of Reserves for beach birds.
